About Goshin Jujitsu

Goshin Jiu Jitsu stands by this philosophy that basic and practical self-defense is incredibly empowering to people of all ages and walks of life. This art is not a competition sport. It is hand to hand self defense. The techniques taught here trains our students to ward off attacks from weapons such as knifes, sticks, and guns.  Sensei Rhategan is dedicated to professing and fostering exceptional self-defense techniques to all of his students. Goshin means “body and spirit” and jiu jitsu means “gentle.” Sensei Campbell practices the very definition of the phrase, as he holds the conviction that jiu jitsu is a sound, fundamental and finessed way of life. Goshin Ju Jitsu preaches everyday practical use for its curriculum. His training involves more than physical technique; it offers a mental mindset of discipline and resilience. The ultimate trophy is obtaining a black belt, and you get out of it what you put in. However, students can master foundational techniques in less than one month. We invite you to engulf yourself in all of the aspects that the “gentle art” has to offer you and to embark on the journey with Sensei Cindy Rhategan at Goshin Jiu Jitsu”
